Xaphan is a demon listed among the fallen angels in Christian demonology. According to texts such as Paradise Lost and demonological dictionaries, Xaphan joined Satan in rebellion against God and proposed setting fire to Heaven. After the failed revolt, Xaphan was cast into the abyss, where he is said to continually stoke the furnaces with his mouth and hands, using a bellows as his emblem.
