Vepar, also known as Sépar, is a demon described in several European demonological grimoires. Vepar is portrayed as a great duke of Hell who takes the form of a mermaid or siren and has authority over storms and the sea. He commands twenty-nine legions of demons, is said to guide merchant ships, and can inflict wounds that only exorcism can cure. Accounts of Vepar appear in texts such as Pseudomonarchia Daemonum and Lemegeton.
